(Part One)
~ It was almost a month since she had convinced Courtney to join their noble cause and, just as she had planned, she too began to see the unicorns, not as animals, but as monsters that didn't deserve the life they were given. Kim was pleased with the progress she had made with slowly destroying that annoying conscience Courtney had. She reached a door, pulled out a bottle of Vicks, put a drop under her nose and blinked her eyes at how strong the smell was. She opened the door, walking into a morgue and saw Courtney leaning over a dead unicorn on a metre high table, studying it intently. Kim creeped up behind her, peered over her shoulder and spoke right into her ear. "What'cha doing?" Poor Courtney hadn't seen or heard her coming and mistook her for a unicorn that had snuck in. She jumped up, fell off her chair and scrambled backwards for a few second before realising it was only Kim. She got back up, feeling embarrassed at how jumpy she had been, and sat back down.

"I'm just taking a closer look at the outside of these things." Kim walked over to an unusually high table that was about 2 metres off the ground. It had a top of the table was glass and it was set in steel frame that was suspended from both the ceiling and the floor so that it could be moved up and down. She walked underneath the platform and looked up but was sad to see that everything was silver and red. She walked over to a switch on the side and flicked it down. "If you're gonna play with dead things then wear gloves. It's dangerous." Courtney said when she heard the platform being lowered. Kim put a pair of gloves on and flicked the switch again so it rested between up and down. The table stopped. Kim looked on top and shuddered a little when she saw a unicorn with it's limbs spread apart, head severed and body cut open from its neck down. The inside of it's body was a mixture of red and a shimmering silver substance that looked like mercury. "Be careful of the blood, it's not quicksilver but it's just as toxic and extremely similar." Kim loved playing with mercury. She thought it was cool how it moved like water but looked slightly solid. She poked her finger into the moist insides of the beast but pulled it out when she felt that it was still warm.
"Gaah! How long has this been dead?" Kim asked.
"A few hours. Their bodies maintain the heat for a long time due to the blood being such a good insulator."
"Right. Fun."
"Very."
"That unicorn just blinked."
"What?"
"It just blinked."
"No it didn't," argued Courtney.
"Yes, it did. Look at it's eyes." Courtney looked at the unicorn's eyes but they were still that same, deep and lifeless black as they had been that morning. Unlike the unicorn on the adjustable glass platform, the one Courtney was looking at was whole. She looked closer at the eyes and noticed something. Those weren't the eyes, they were the eye lids. Without warning the jet black unicorn kicked out and hit Courtney in the stomach, pushing her off her chair and onto the floor which forced the wind right out of her lungs. It rolled off the table and landed on it's feet. It stood up and ran across the room before stopping and turning around. It's eyes were glowing a bright, crimson red that reminded Kim of the colour of a large amount of blood, like in a blood bag. It breathed heavily out of it's nose, releasing blue and black smoke. It reared up onto it's hind legs and slammed it's front hooves down, cracking the tile floor. It stared menacingly at Kim as she slowly reached out for the scalpel on the platform. She lifted it up in front of her, ready to fight. The unicorn lifted it's head up and shook it's mane. When it brought it's head back down it opened it's mouth, unhinging it's jaw, and hissed. It shot it's black saliva out sideways and lashed it's forked tongue at her. As it did that, eight black tentacles tipped with silver emerged from the back of it's horse-like neck, blue electricity crackling between them and it's horn. A door burst open to the side of the beast and one of the security guards burst in. The unicorn sent a large shot of electricity shooting towards him. It hit him in the middle of the chest and his clothes burst into flames. He staggered back into the hall and hit one of the fish tanks on display, smashing it and spilling water everywhere. The unicorn walked slowly walked forward as though it were taunting Kim and Courtney (who was still recovering from the kick). Kim looked closely and could of sworn she saw a smile as it advanced closer and closer, dragging out their inevitable death. A door opened silently behind it and another guard walked in carrying a big AA-12 in his arms. Kim knew this guard, his name was Richard Awatere
"His name was John. He was a good man." He said in a deep, calm voice.
"I'm sorry." Courtney said, still gasping slightly.
"Don't be. He lived a good life."
"So uhh, where's Jordan through out all of this?" Kim asked.
~He emerged in a large field, unicorns all around him. They looked up at him as he walked forward. Some of them turned to face him, but none attacked. He walked up to a small, two story building on the other side. He walked in and saw a tall, slender man standing behind a table. The man had long black hair, was very pale, and spoke in a cold, detached voice. "Yes? What is it that you want now."
"You're Nathan?"
"Yes. Am I not what you expect when you think of 'Unicorn Overlord'?" The slender man said.
"Well, to be honest sir, no, you're not."
"I get that a lot. Now tell me why you're here."
"We made a deal, remember?"
"Yes. What about it? Is it done?"
"Yes sir."
"Excellent. Truly splendid. How did it go?"
"I gave them the location of the base. They have it surrounded and have resurrected all the unicorns that they could. Their second attack will begin in a few minutes."
"Fabulous. We will most definitely win."
"Now, about my parents?"
"Ah yes. Your parents. They will be alive by tomorrow. Now tell me, what was your name again?"
"General Jordan Hall sir."
"A general? Perfect." He said, stroking the pink and blue lollipop he had on the table.
