(Part One)
Charlie woke up deep in a forest. He had no idea how he got there, only that he was alone. He could feel someone, or something, watching him. He tried to move, to get away, but he couldn't move. He had landed in a heap among some vines. All of a sudden he saw a flash of black and white and a heard a flapping of massive wings. He lost consciousness.
He woke up in a cave, his plug plugged into an odd shaped power outlet in the rocky wall. "It's awake!" he heard a voice say.
"Good. I'm hungry." Another voice, this one sounded sharp and impatient.
"Now, cook us some toast, and make it good. We're starving." The first voice, soft and cheerful yet forceful at the same time. The two figures were hiding in the shadows of the cave. Reluctantly, Charlie cooked four pieces of perfect, golden-brown toast for his kidnappers.
"Now tell me who you are." He said, trying to sound as brave as possible.
"I'm Grace," said the figure with the soft voice, "and this is Sara." When she had finished speaking, Grace and Sara stepped out of the shadows to reveal themselves. Grace was a tall angel with black wings and bright purple eyes. Sara was a graceful white tiger with sharp, glowing amber eyes. They stepped forward and buttered their toast. Now you may be wondering, 'how can a tiger butter toast with no thumbs??' well stop it! Toasters aren't meant to talk and angels aren't meant to live in caves.
Charlie lived in that cave, cooking toast for these ungrateful creatures for a week until one day, there was a knocking at the entrance to the cave. "Sara, can you get that?" asked Grace. Sara went out to the entrance of the cave and was shocked to find two unicorns standing there.
"Hello there!" Eden said enthusiastically.
"We think you have something that belongs to us." Added Kaukau.
"Nope, nothing here of yours. Go away." Replied Sara
"Ok, goodbye." Eden and Kaukau said simultaneously.
The next day, while Grace and Sara were enjoying their toast, there as another knocking at the cave entrance. "You're getting it this time." Sara said between mouthfuls. Grace went to the cave entrance and not only saw Eden and Kaukau, but also a sexy vampire, a panda and a beautiful woman in a long flowing gown.
"What're you all doing here. We don't want you here."
"But Charlie wants us here, we need to rescue him" Kaukau said
"But you can't do that, I'm an angel." Grace said in shock
"You're not an angel, you're a hippopotamus." the woman in the long gown replied. Grace was so distraught at this remark that she ran away in tears. The group walked into the cave and freed Charlie. When Sara realised what they were doing she got scared and ran away as well to hide in a big pile of mashed potatoes.
"Thanks guys!" Charlie said.
"No problem," Kaukau said, "these are our friends Katie, Jess and Rosie. They helped us rescue you."
"Thanks. Hey who's that over there?" At that moment a monkey walked into the cave and walked up to Rosie, the panda and said, "I'm a monkey."
"No, you're a hippopotamus." Rosie replied. The monkey then walked up to Katie, the sexy vampire, and said,"I'm a monkey." To which she replied,
"No you're not. You're a hippopotamus." Then the monkey walked up to Jess, the beautiful woman in the long flowing dress and said,
"I'm a monkey!"
"No silly monkey, you're a hippopotamus." The monkey was so disappointed in this realisation that it went and sat in the corner. The cave filled with an awkward silence that was broken by Charlie.
"Hey Jess," he began, "if Eden and Kaukau are unicorns, Katie's a vampire, Rosie's a talking panda and I'm a talking toaster, then what are you?"
"Silly talking toaster. I am the goddess of goddess', awkwardness and all things toasty." Jess explained, and at that the six friends walked out of the cave and into the distance, all hoping to never see Grace or Sara again.
