Being of Fire, Chapter 4

(Chapter 1Chapter 2Chapter 3)

I wasn't looking for long before I found someone I knew. I'm surprised most of the people I knew lived this long. I guess some of them really did find immortality. "Dustin!" Dustin was an old informant of mine. He knew everything about everyone and no one knew how but no one wanted to kill him. He was too valuable to us, to everyone.
"Lucifer! Long time no see. I knew that you'd escape! Hey I hear you killed Enkidu. Giovanni won't be too happy when he finds out I can tell ya that much."
"How did you know?"
"I have eyes and ears everywhere man, now lemme guess, you're after someone aren't ya. I'm guessing it's to do with Enkidu telling you that Gilgamesh was close?"
"How did you know? Actually it doesn't matter how you know just tell me what you know."
"Now you know that I need something first, or else I can't tell you this top notch information I have on Gilgamesh and where he is and what he's been doing these last fifteen hundred years since he framed you and got you locked up. Now, I'm assuming you have what I want or else why come looking for me? Right?" Dustin never did know when to shut up. Maybe I could use this to my advantage.
"Listen Dustin, I need information, I know you have it and you know that I'll do anything to get it. Don't test me either, you know I can kill you before you say another word, so choose that next word wisely or else it could be your last." This scared him a little and he let loose some information.
"L-look, all I know is that Gilgamesh has been waiting for your fight when you break free, he's been training like mad and hasn't stopped, I bet you could sneak up on him in the Lost Tree at Central Park and kill him before he kills you. Now please don't kill me, I have a wife and three kids to feed, c'mon man, have a heart!"
"Alright, I'll let you live." I stretched out my hand to offer him a handshake, he took it. He tried to let go but I wouldn't let him.
"H-Hey, you know what you said about letting me live?"
"I changed my mind." I shot a burst of heat up through his body and burnt him. He choked on his own spit and blood. I shot another burst of heat up through his body and squeezed his hand as he crumbled to dust.

I got to the park and reached the centre. There was a huge field with a tree at one end and under that tree sat Gilgamesh. His legs were folded and as usual, he carried his two swords. I turned invisible and climbed the tree behind him. I launched myself down on top of him and stopped suddenly in mid-air. Gilgamesh stood and looked up to face me. He had aged since I last saw him. He had lines around his eyes and his goatee had flecks of grey in it. "It's about time you showed up." He said
"Yea, well I was a bit stuck. Could you let me down now please?"
"I'll let you down, I won't let you go though."
"I wasn't expecting you too." Gilgamesh telekinetic powers and could control things with his mind. He didn't like using it much.
"You know me all too well Lucifer. Now tell me, did you come here to try and kill me for what I did to you? Because you know that that'll never happen."
"Oh I'm sure that it's more then possible. I've beaten you before."
"Yes but that was over fifteen hundred years ago now my friend. You need to let it go and realise that I'm far more superior to you and that you can't win this one."
"Did you do all this just so you'd have the time to train and defeat me? Just so that you could have the pleasure of taking me off the face of his earth like so many before you have failed at doing?"
"To some extent, yes. Why do you ask?"
"Well 'friend' you burnt down a village, framed me, got me locked in jail for a crime I hadn't even done yet and drove me insane in that small cell just so that you could bat me!?"
"That's about the sum of it, yes."
"And I thought I was insane. You have problems." By now he had moved me to the middle of the field, I was standing upright but the psychic binds holding me were strong.
"Well now Lucifer, I give you a choice, you can either give me your Masamune and walk out of without a scratch, or you can die. It's your choice." Gilgamesh had a thing for swords, he  collected all kinds of rare swords and collected them over many years.
"I think I'll choose death thanks."
"Very well, It's your choice." He drew his swords and advanced. I thought that he'd remove the binds holding me, but he didn't. Gilgamesh walked towards me, swords drawn, and I was powerless to resist.
